11thASIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE ON GIFTEDNESS CALL FOR PAPERS

The 11th Asia Pacific Conference on Giftedness will be held from July 29 – August 1 2010 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre located atDarling Harbour.


The theme of the meeting “Thinking Smart: Effective Partnerships for Talent Development” has already attracted the participation of world-renowned specialists at the cutting edge of gifted education. Australia has a history of raising the profile of gifted education through the promotion of professional knowledge and skills, policy development and advocacy, research and scholarship, and the dissemination of information. Hosting the Asia Pacific Conference in 2010 is part of that commitment.

GATCA was established in 1978. As the State Association it serves gifted children, their parents, their teachers and a range of others who work in the field of gifted education. GATCA is about recognising, and providing for, the special needs of gifted children.

Membership is open to all those wishing to ensure that children of high ability are supported socially, emotionally and intellectually - at home and at school.
